Social Studies 30
The social studies 30 curriculum explores ideologies, namely the ideology of liberalism and its successors and detractors. It explores classical liberalism, and its products (lasiez-faire capitalism, democracy) - taking note of both the strengths and weaknesses of its implication. It explores how events like the industrial revolution and economic crisis resulted in people challenging classical liberalism and developing ideologies of their own (communism), and ultimately resulted in the ideological conflict known as the cold war.
