Globalization and Daily Life Visual Project
This project is an engaging and creative way to get students to appreciate the intrinsic ties they each have to globalization, as well as the potential impact globalization has on the way they live. In working on this project, students will create a visual representation of their daily life, and make connections to the potential impact on not only themselves, but people around the world.
This assignment consists of several components:
The visual snapshot of daily life component of the assignment involves some type of visual representation of what a student does in the course of a day. This can be shown in a photograph, video, photo collage, drawing...etc.
After creating their snapshots, students should choose several (five or six) elements shown that are tied to globalization. These can include clothes they wear, foods they eat, technology they use, places they or their parents work...etc. Once choosing these, students should research into the impact these elements have on the world. What is the human cost of producing them (poverty), the potential impact on Canadian buisnesss...etc, and write a paragraph about each point.
